What you will be doing

  • Interprets contract language to understand project risks, rights, and responsibilities, while guiding teams to manage these clauses effectively and minimize additional costs. 
  • Reviews and analyzes contract management records to offer technical advice and project control guidance, aiming to limit exposure and protect the Company from risks due to changes and claims. 
  • Oversees project change and claim reporting, providing updates to the Project Controls Director for Division-level reports. 
  • Supports change and claim preparation for projects within the Division. 
  • Assists projects in preparing for dispute resolution hearings and alternative resolution meetings. 
  • Integrates Company systems to track, monitor, and control costs or schedules, and resolve claims. 
  • Ensures accurate training and use of approved systems for project document control and reporting. 
  • Performs regular project reviews, monitoring job risks and change management against key performance indicators (KPIs). 
  • Coordinates with project teams and the Project Controls Director to track and monitor change order and claims preparation and resolution. 
  • Prepares action plans for resolving unsecured revenue, including Unsecured Revenue and Claims reporting forms. 
  • Reviews under-billing to identify possible resolution measures. 
  • Works closely with other Division and District Project Controls staff to identify, monitor, and resolve claims and change issues. 
  • Coordinates, manages, and assists outside counsel and third-party consultants as needed for claim and change resolution. 

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field required.  
  • 10+ years’ experience in construction engineering, project management or project controls required.  
  • Experience with complex scheduling, cost control processes, claims/change preparation and dispute resolution procedures required.  
  • Proven experience in arbitration and litigation process. Experience working through claims with Joint Venture partners.  
  • Expert and diversified skill set dealing with insurance claims, and complex claims cases.  
  • Knowledge of construction contract agreements and change order processes required.  
  • Knowledge of various methodologies for claims pricing and preparation.  
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills.  
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, including construction accounting, required.  
  • Proven leadership and influential skills. Able to effectively work and communicate with all levels of the company.  
  • Able to identify contract specifications that delegate risk and provide appropriate mitigation measures.  
  • Delegation and communication skills required. Able to develop or refine a company-wide program and clearly communicate expectations and business value to all levels of the business.

USD $195,000.00/Yr.

Salary Max

USD $210,000.00/Yr.

Vehicle Program

Personal Vehicle Allowance Tier II: $950 USD/month
