The DFJV is seeking a motivated and eager Information Technology Intern to join our IT team. The intern will have the opportunity to assist in the day-to-day operations of the IT department, gaining hands-on experience in managing hardware and software systems, troubleshooting, and providing technical support across the organization.
Flatiron Dragados brings the necessary transportation experience to successfully complete the California High-Speed Rail Construction Package 2-3 Project (CP 2-3). The California High-Speed Rail Authority (Authority) is responsible for the planning, design, construction and operation of the first high-speed rail system in the nation. The California High-Speed Rail System will connect the mega-regions of the State; contribute to economic development and a cleaner environment; create jobs for subcontractors and small businesses; and preserve agricultural and protected lands. Construction Package 2-3 is a 65-mile route located within the counties of Fresno, Tulare and Kings.
Assist with the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software systems.
• Support IT staff with troubleshooting and resolving hardware and software issues.
• Provide technical support to end-users, including responding to service desk tickets and resolving issues in a timely
manner.
• Help in managing IT inventory and assets, ensuring systems and devices are up to date.
• Assist in network and server management tasks as assigned.
• Work on data backups and recovery procedures.
• Aid in setting up and maintaining company websites or internal systems as needed.
• Assist with software updates, patches, and upgrades to ensure security and optimal performance.
• Participate in IT-related projects and initiatives to improve system performance and user satisfaction.
• Document technical issues and resolutions for future reference
Currently enrolled in a degree program in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a
related field.
• Basic understanding of computer systems, networking, and hardware/software troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• A willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
